Butter & Crumb Co. started in my little kitchen, where I found happiness in the simple act of mixing butter, sugar, and flour. What began as late-night baking sessions for friends and family slowly turned into a tradition. One batch at a time, I learned, experimented, and fell in love with creating something that could make people smile.

I’m a self-taught baker with a big love for desserts. Back home, I used to make homemade baked-goods for local communities in Vietnam; each one mixed, baked, and wrapped by hand. after moving to Halifax, life got busy with school and work. I stopped baking for a while, but I always missed it; the smell of brown sugar, the sound of a mixer, the quiet joy of pulling warm cookies out of the oven.

 

Now, I work in marketing by day and spend my weekends doing what I love most: baking. Every Saturday, my kitchen comes alive again with the smell of butter and sugar, and I get to share that same homemade warmth with my community here in Halifax.

Every cookie is baked in small batches, just the way I’ve always done it: crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, made with simple ingredients and a whole lot of heart.

To me, Butter & Crumb Co. is more than a bakery. It’s a reminder that homemade is special, that slowing down for something sweet is worth it, and that love, when baked into cookies, has a way of bringing people together. 🍪💛
